Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our headquarters' team in Scottsdale, AZ. This in-office position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field, or two years of accounting experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and meet deadlines.
• QuickBooks and NetSuite experience is a strong preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
• Complete monthly close tasks in coordination with the Controller.
• Process invoices and reconcile bank transactions in QuickBooks.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
• Reconcile ADP payroll reports with bank activity to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with payroll and sales tax regulations; file returns as required.
• Review company credit card transactions for policy compliance.
• Process credit applications and support annual audit preparation.
• Uphold internal accounting procedures and perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be proficient in data entry and have experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar programs. The ability to multitask and manage time effectively is crucial for success in this role.

Salary 

• Base pay range $45,000-$ 65,000 commensurate with experience.
• Quarterly bonus opportunity based on Company EBIDTA achievement.

Physical Requirements/Demands 

• Must be able to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard, use a laptop and other office equipment.
• Must be able to properly express oneself, exchange information, communicate and converse with diverse cultures, races, and sexes.
• Must be able to use sight to detect, determine, perceive, observe, inspect, and assess situations.
