Job Summary:

We are looking for a collaborative and creative team player who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, and passion for great storytelling and filmmaking that define Lucasfilm. The Assistant Manager, Company Store supports the Store Manager in the daily operations of both the physical retail location and the company's online store. This role is responsible for assisting in driving sales, managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering a positive customer experience across all channels.

This role is considered Onsite, which means the employee will work 100% onsite 5 days a week at a Company designated location.

What you’ll do

  • Assists the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and visual merchandising for both the physical and online stores.   

  • Provides leadership and guidance to store associates, and assumes responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

  • Contributes to achieving sales targets for both the physical and online store through effective customer engagement and product knowledge.

  • Plays a key role in the management of the online store, including:

    • Assisting with the listing and maintenance of product information (descriptions, images, specifications).

    • Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of online inventory levels.

    • Supporting the efficient processing and fulfillment of online orders.

    • Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues related to online purchases.

    • Contributing to the online store's visual presentation and user experience.

  • Assists with daily operational tasks such as opening and closing procedures, maintaining store appearance and visual merchandising, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive understanding of the company's products and brand.

  • Participates in the training and coaching of store associates to enhance customer service skills and product knowledge for both in-store and online interactions.

  • Assists in tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) for both the physical and online store to identify areas for improvement.

  • Assists in managing inventory, and stock levels.

  • Prepares inventory and financial reports and interfaces with upper management and our financial teams when needed. 


What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a retail environment, with some experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred.

  • Demonstrated understanding of e-commerce operations and online customer service principles.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • A proactive and positive approach to work with a willingness to learn.

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and e-commerce platforms

  • Occasionally lifts, carries, and positions objects/merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds. 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 4 hours. 

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing concepts (SEO, social media, email).

  • Experience with inventory management systems.

  • Microsoft Office / Google Workspace proficiency

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $53,100 to $71,100 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
