Job Description

Role: Azure Data Engineer Location: Toronto, ON Salary: up to $90,000 per year Must have skills: ~ Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. ~8+ years of experience in data preparation, transformation, and analytics. ~3 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise database development and administration, preferably on Azure SQL or Cosmos DB. ~ Strong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL preferred) and Python, particularly in handling large and complex datasets. ~ Demonstrated experience with the Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Data Lake , Azure Data Factory , Synapse Analytics , and optionally Azure Databricks . ~ Proficiency in Power BI for building reports, dashboards, and performing advanced data modeling. ~ Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD of data pipelines is a plus. ~ Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently and collaboratively. ~ Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams. Other skills: Passionate about leveraging data to drive decisions in healthcare or mission-driven sectors. Proven ability to turn business requirements into robust, testable data solutions. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and quality. Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid environment with a self-starter attitude. Strong organizational and time management skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
