Under the supervision of the Ambulatory Patient Care Manager and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary Hematology, Blood & Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy (HBC) team, the Cell Therapy Nurse Coordinator coordinates utilization of HBC resources by non-HBC departments needing expertise in caring for patients receiving cellular therapies. The Cell Therapy Nurse Coordinator serves as a clinical representative of the HBC program for treatments that require complex coordination and collaboration among various internal departments (ex: non-HBC specialty clinics, inpatient, outpatient and procedural areas) and external institutions (ex: cell product manufacturing sites, equipment vendors, pharmaceutical companies). The Cell Therapy Nurse Coordinator develops and advocates for adherence to standard of care multi- and interdisciplinary workflows with a focus on clear role delineation, thorough communication, staff & patient education and positive patient outcomes. The Cell Therapy Nurse Coordinator collects and reports data to inform process improvement toward sustainable practices that are efficient, evidence-based and fiscally sound, enabling UCSF to offer the latest treatment advancements to patients with hematologic and non-hematologic conditions while upholding strict clinical and regulatory standards of the HBC program.
The Cell Therapy Nurse Coordinator also facilitates coordinated care of HBC patients who meet eligibility requirements for hybrid regimens that are initiated on the inpatient unit, then transitioned to the outpatient infusion center after tolerability is established. Responsibilities include but are not limited to eligibility screening, patient, caregiver and staff education, appointment coordination, patient monitoring while at home and symptom triage. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $84.78 - $109.85 (Hourly Rate).
