Salary: $70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:
- Education:
- - A Bachelor's Degree is required. An associate’s degree with an additional 2 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of additional relevant experience may be considered as a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Work Experience:
- - A minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting or implementing Epic applications, specifically with build experience within Epic ClinDoc.
- - Proven experience in performing moderately complex system builds and operational analysis.
- - Experience in presenting to or advising end users or clients on technical or workflow-related issues.
- - A history of contributing to or creating training materials for system end users.
- Preferred Work Experience:
- - Over 5 years of experience in supporting or implementing Epic applications, with demonstrated proficiency in Epic ClinDoc.
- - Experience in clinical operational areas (such as inpatient nursing or patient care documentation) with insights into workflow challenges.
- - Experience as a super-user or clinical end-user of electronic health record systems.
- Certifications Required:
- - Epic ClinDoc Certification
- - Epic certification in a second CORE application applicable to the department.
- Certifications Preferred:
- - Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
- - Epic certifications in related or ancillary Epic applications (e.g., Orders, Stork, or ASAP).

Responsibilities: - Epic Subject Matter Expert: I act as a ClinDoc SME, possessing a deep understanding of essential Epic functionality, associated applications, and integrated workflows. I manage sophisticated configurations across various clinical areas with widespread system implications.
- System Design & Configuration: I am responsible for independently designing, building, and maintaining complex Epic ClinDoc solutions, integrating advanced logic, workflow customizations, and connections with other Epic and non-Epic systems. I document build decisions and engage in thorough testing activities.
- Consultative Business Solutions: I collaborate with clinical operations to evaluate needs, analyze workflows, and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement. I present solution recommendations, oversee implementation, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives and Epic best practices.
- Integration Management: I lead integration projects connecting Epic ClinDoc with third-party applications or devices. In doing so, I work alongside internal technical teams and vendors to ensure smooth interoperability, compliance, and optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: I serve as an escalation point for intricate or cross-application issues. My role includes diagnosing root causes, implementing solutions, and minimizing disruption to clinical operations.
- Upgrades & Maintenance: I take charge of reviewing release notes and prioritizing ClinDoc-related updates. Additionally, I coordinate testing, communication, and the rollout of upgrades while maintaining test scripts to monitor ongoing system performance.
- Communication & Leadership: I communicate proficiently with clinical, technical, and leadership teams, facilitating meetings to discuss milestones, system modifications, and challenges. I also mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices and policy updates.
- Training & Support: I develop or assist in creating end-user training materials and deliver specialized training to super-users and clinical staff.
- Professional Development: I keep myself updated on developments and best practices related to Epic ClinDoc by participating in conferences, Epic training sessions, and user groups.
