Overview:

SUMMER 2026: Graphic Design Corporate Internship

Join the Lettuce Summer Internship program as a Corporate Intern! The 2026 program will start May 26th and conclude with the Intern Expo on August 4th.   

 

As a Lettuce Corporate Intern, you will:

  • Work with the Graphic Design team at our Corporate office
  • Attend weekly educational meetings each Tuesday to hear Lettuce industry experts cover topics such as restaurant financials, menu creation, marketing and more 
  • Work Lettuce-sponsored events including the Windy City Smokeout festival
  • Participate in a group project to be presented at a live expo in Chicago

Requirements: 

  • Currently junior year (or higher) of college/university studying Graphic Design
  • Availability to work all days of the Windy City Smokeout festival (July 9-12, 2026) 
  • Ability to commute to the Lettuce Corporate office on Chicago’s far northside

 

TO ALL CHICAGO-BASED INTERNS: Please be aware that working all four days of the Windy City Smokeout festival (July 9-12, 2026) are mandatory. Interns in other markets with interest in working this event, may do so with prior approval from partners and/or general managers. All interns will be responsible for any travel and/or accommodations needed during the Windy City Smokeout festival.


Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.

We participate in E-Verify / Participamos en E-Verify Responsibilities:
  • Participate in and complete weekly seminars, management checklists, management feedback, summer festivals (e.g., Windy City Smokeout for Chicago area interns), restaurant concept project, Intern Expo, group events and other program activities
  • Assist in and perform a variety of graphic designer functions including but not limited to creating and revising graphic content using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign) and Google Drive; conceptualizing, designing, updating, presenting and producing branded digital and physical collateral in a wide range of media for multiple Lettuce concepts; collaborating on UI/UX design; assisting with in-house production of print materials; and performing administrative tasks including but not limited to organizing and preparing files for print and data entry and accurate time tracking
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • Work a variety of days and shifts including weekends and nights
  • Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable light, noise and temperature levels
  • Ability to occasionally retrieve and distribute files or office supplies weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
Qualifications:
  • Currently junior year (or higher) of college/university studying Graphic Design

  • Ability to commute to the Lettuce Corporate office on Chicago’s far northside
Salary Range: USD $17.00 - USD $19.00 /Hr.
