Responsibilities: - As a Cyber Security Analyst Sr Advisor, I will have a significant role in enhancing cyber defense with cutting-edge technologies. My key responsibilities will include:
- Providing vulnerability analysis and reporting on accredited information systems.
- Creating documentation such as SOPs, internal process documents, and contributing to cyber policies to support continuous monitoring of accredited information systems.
- Coordinating with information system Points of Contact (POCs) for plan updates and mitigation strategies to maintain the overall health of IT systems, networks, and applications.
- Interpreting, analyzing, and reporting all events and anomalies in line with computer network directives, including the initiation, response, and reporting of discovered events.
- Ensuring that cybersecurity plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures align with cybersecurity standards.
- Developing techniques and procedures for conducting cybersecurity risk assessments and compliance audits, evaluating and testing hardware, firmware, and software for impact on system security, and investigating and resolving security incidents.
- Providing coaching and guidance to less-experienced professionals.
- Possibly serving as a team or task lead.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Experience with architecture design, system and network analysis, vulnerability and risk assessments, and security assessment of hardware and software.
- Experience in scanning information systems using tools like Nessus, AppDetective, and WebInspect.
- A strong understanding of cloud environments and the ability to assess systems within these environments with a focus on security posture.
- Familiarity with continuous monitoring and plans of actions and milestones (POA&Ms).
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53, 800-137, and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity concepts including encryption services, access control, information protection, and network security.
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud security compliance.
- Knowledgeable about various cloud services, including Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service.
- Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
