Job Description:

Position: Data Center Engineer for Rochelle Data Center

Pay Rate: \$45-55/hr W2

Location: On-site 5-6 days a week (rotating Saturdays) -Rochelle, IL

Duration: 9+ months, chance of extension

Experience:

• 5 years working inside a data center (not looking for a network data

center engineer)

• Well-versed in ITSM and ITIL practices
• Experience with Decentools and ServiceNow
• ServiceNow is a big nice to have
• Own and operate their own facility
• Focus on cabling, rack, and stack

On-Call:

• Rotational on-call (rarely called but must be available)
• 2-3 Saturdays a month

Team Size:

• Rochelle team consists of 3 members: 1 FTE lead and 2 contractors
• Full-time low voltage cabling contractors in-house

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• More time in meetings gathering requirements from customers
• Less physical rack and stack work
• Focus on prep design operations, shipping, and handling

Weekend Schedule:

• Should know the schedule a quarter in advance but must be flexible
• Guaranteed at least two weekends a month

Candidate Questions:

• Understanding and experience with deploying structured cabling

solutions

• BU: IT Infrastructure

Data Center Size:

• Approximately 23,000 square feet of raised floor space

Qualifications:

• Experience is more important than a bachelors degree
• Must work well with others
