Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. We are a small family oriented General Dental office in Glendale.

Duties will include:

• Greet patients
• Answer phones
• Schedule/confirm appointments
• Collection of patient information including sensitive medical records
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Process patient payments and co-payments
• Prepare and send patient statements
• Verify insurance information
• Explaining our office policies and procedures
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and protection of patient privacy
• Collaborate with dentist and dental staff to facilitate smooth patient flow within the office
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
• Manage and upkeep lobby and front office area

Requirement s:

• Previous experience as a dental receptionist or similar role
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming and friendly environment
• Familiarity with dental terminology and understanding of dental office procedures
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
• Experience with presenting treatment plans is a plus
• Experience with dental billing process is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is not required but strongly favored

Job Type: Full-time

• Pay: $16 - $24 per hour depending on experience and abilities
