Business Overview:

The U.S. Talent Acquisition function consists of in-house recruiters covering various business lines. The team covers experienced hire recruitment, internal mobility and campus recruitment & development. This role supports Corporate and Group Functions, Front Office Functions (including Global Markets and Global Banking) and Head of Talent Acquisition Americas (NAR).

Responsibilities: 

• Lead a team of lateral recruiters managing Analyst to Vice President level candidates. 
  1. Allocate and balance req. loads among recruiters within local team and across the regional TA team in response to volume lulls and surges.
• Work with the Client Engagement and Senior Recruiting officers and the HRBP’s to understand the talent needs of the business lines and functions within the region. 
• Work closely with the other Recruitment Managers across the region and in conjunction with the Head of TA for the Americas to implement best practices, enhanced functionality, operational risk controls and training.
• Continuously review and improve Policies, process and procedures to enhance the experience for hiring managers and candidates.
• Function as a strategic enabler to the business by proving KPIs, advisory and solutions.
• implement the overall Talent Sourcing strategy for the region including the use of Diversity Partnerships, Referral programs, Campus programs and Agencies.
• Implement policies and procedures related to diversity guidelines for every open role within the region. 
  1. Ensure each recruiter has specific diversity goals.
• Implement TA Policy and Operating Procedures 
  1. Work in close collaboration with the Excellence Center in charge of TA operations and follow implemented policies and procedures.

• Actively manage and support the career growth and development of all members of the TA team. 
  • This includes providing regular and actionable feedback based on SMART objectives. 

• Set the proper ‘tone at the top’ based on the firm’s values: Highest standard of integrity, ethics, and conduct.
• Monitor KPIs and KRIs for the recruitment team and in conjunction with the Head of TA for the Americas adjust operating model as necessary based on early warning signs of these metrics. 

People Management:

• Actively manage and support the career growth and development of all members of the TA team. 
  1. This includes providing regular and actionable feedback based on SMART objectives. 
• Define career and title paths for the roles within the TA team.
• Communicate TA strategy and progress updates regularly.
• Create a collaborative /speak up culture with the TA team.
• Contribute to a collaborative and solutions-oriented culture within HR and across the firm generally.
• Set the proper ‘tone at the top’ based on the firm’s values: Highest standard of integrity, ethics, and conduct.

This role collaborates and communicates actively with the Client Engagement and Senior Recruiting officers to provide a full view of TA activity to the Heads of Business Lines or Function.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years relevant recruitment industry experience; preferably within Investment Banking. 
• Bachelor degree in Administration, Human Resources or equivalent. 
• Strong people manager with a proven ability to communicate effectively. 
• Ability to support a continuous improvement culture to create efficiencies, improve service to clients and candidates and to reduce risk. 
• Ability and confidence to challenge the status quo. 
• Act with a solutions-oriented mindset demonstrating innovation and creative problem solving.
• Proven ability to effectively assess an individual’s skills and potential. Solid knowledge and understanding of interview techniques.
• Strong client and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Institutional Banking business lines is a plus.
• Given most of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply.

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $180,000 to $225,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
