Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of disaster restoration services in California, is seeking an experienced Emergency Services Dispatcher . This full-time position plays a critical role in coordinating emergency response efforts, ensuring efficient dispatching of field crews to disaster sites. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch Coordination: Receive and prioritize incoming emergency service calls, dispatch field crews, and track job progress in real-time.
• Customer Communication: Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing reassurance and collecting critical incident details.
• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately log all call details, service requests, crew assignments, and job status updates into the company system.
• Resource Management: Coordinate equipment, vehicles, and personnel based on service demands.
• Collaboration: Communicate with team members, supervisors, and external partners (e.g., insurance companies, first responders) to ensure smooth operations.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow established protocols, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience in dispatching, emergency response, or a similar role preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Technology: Proficiency in dispatch software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Availability: Must be available for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: Knowledge of restoration industry terminology and processes is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods while using a computer and headset.
• Frequent hand movement for typing and using communication equipment.
• Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs.) for handling office supplies or small equipment.
• Ability to quickly react and adjust to high-pressure situations.

Environmental Conditions

• Work is performed in a controlled office environment with moderate noise levels.
• Occasional exposure to stressful emergency situations requiring quick decision-making.
• Potential for remote communication with field crews in hazardous environments (e.g., fire, flood, mold, or biohazard-affected sites).

Pay: $65,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
