Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Walnut Creek, California. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who excels in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and delivering timely reports. The position offers flexibility with part-time hours and may include onsite, hybrid, or remote work options. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop, ensuring timely updates and reconciliations. - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor payments and customer invoices. - Oversee payroll operations, coordinating with payroll service providers to ensure accurate processing. - Prepare monthly financial reports and present them to the finance committee and leadership team. - Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies. - Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger in compliance with accounting standards. - Assist in month-end financial closings and provide support for interim financial tasks. - Collaborate on budget management activities for an annual budget of approximately $300k. - Generate detailed financial statements and provide insights for decision-making purposes. - Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures while supporting organizational goals. Requirements - Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role. - Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and familiarity with accounting software. - Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes. - Ability to prepare and present financial statements and reports effectively. - Experience with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records. - Expertise in journal entries and general ledger management. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
