Role Overview This Quality Engineer position ,while located in Fishers, IN office the qualified candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products, services or processes meet specific quality standards, design, develop and implement quality control systems to meet business and client requirements worldwide. Collaboration across our operational and manufacturing departments both internal and external throughout the world. Lead initiatives in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and six sigma practices. Identify and resolve quality related problems, analyzing, determining root cause and proposing solutions. Develop, implement, and manage supplier corrective actions processes. Work with regulatory bodies, inspectors, and participate in follow up service inspections.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and Implement Quality control procedures
- Establish and communicate clear quality standards
- Assess supplier capabilities, monitor performance to ensure compliance with company standards
- Facilitate problem solving actives, investigating root cause of non-conformance
- Identifying and ensuring implementation of corrective/preventative actions to continuously improve quality
- Conduct internal and external audits
- Identify and analyze trends, document findings and recommendations
- Articulate business requirements across functions
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Set and monitor key performance indicators
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and inspectors
Primary Skills & Expertise - Knowledgeable, experienced, and proactive senior quality manager/ quality engineer/ auditor in a manufacturing/supply chain environment
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good technical understanding
- Proven track record in leading continuous improvement projects
- ISO Internal auditing experience
- Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Experience working with in-house and contract manufacturers
- Experience developing, implementing, and managing supplier corrective action processes
- Experienced in working with regulatory bodies
Key Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Production Management / Engineering/ Business
- Three to five years’ experience in a senior quality role
- Certified quality engineer (desirable)
- Experience of working within manufacturing quality function
- Six sigma certified
- Demonstrable involvement in the use of quality improvement tools, FMEA, FAIR, PPAP
- Ability to interpret Engineer drawings and technical specifications
- Comprehensive understanding of statistical analysis to validate and analyze manufacturing processes
