This is a 10-week Summer Internship, with Full-Time Hours located on-site in Middletown, CT

SUMMARY OF THE JOB :

The Human Resources intern will be assigned to meaningful projects and will rotate through the department to support all HR functions providing valuable hands-on experience that will align with your HR career goals. The successful intern is a team player who maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, is detailed oriented, have a process improvement mindset and can build respectful and productive relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The intern will have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Working with professionals in the areas of policy development and review, benefits, payroll and recruiting assisting with various projects as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding and off-boarding process.
  • Assist HR professionals with reporting.
  • Assist in various aspects of recruitment process including but not limited to assisting with the candidate experience, managing LinkedIn Talent Hub page, reviewing and improving interview guides.
  • Other HR duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently enrolled in university/college.
  • Human Resources major or minor preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem solving, communication, innovative and interpersonal skills.
  • Rising Juniors and Seniors.
  • Able to work a minimum of 11 weeks in this program
  • Oral & written communication skills and intermediate technical skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.)
