Job Overview:

The International Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing the efficient and compliant movement of goods across international borders, including coordinating with freight forwarders, ensuring adherence to customs regulations, and optimizing import/export processes.

Responsibilities :

• Oversees and coordinates international shipments, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and trade laws. 
• Prepares and reviews global shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin.
• Works with customs brokers and government agencies to ensure timely customs clearance. 
• Identifies cost-saving opportunities through analysis of shipping methods and trade agreements. 
• Communicates with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment and customs-related issues. 
• Monitors and maintains accurate records of import/export transactions for audit and reporting purposes. 
• Reviews and approves invoices related to international logistics and customs fees.

Skills/Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in import/export operations or international logistics. 
• Knowledge of global trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs documentation. 
• Experience managing air, ocean, and ground shipments, including understanding cost implications. 
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics. 
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Office-based role.
