Are you organized, eager to learn, and interested in starting a career in steel construction? Aristeo is looking for an Entry-Level Jr. Detailer to join our team. You’ll work under the guidance of our Steel Fabrication Manager to help prepare and review drawings, learn industry standards, and support our steel fabrication projects from start to finish.

This is a great opportunity for someone with basic drafting or CAD training who wants to gain hands-on experience in the steel construction industry.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing and updating shop drawings based on contract documents.
  • Learn to read and interpret construction drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel.
  • Help check drawings for accuracy and completeness before they are sent for approval or fabrication.
  • Enter and maintain drawing updates in our project files.
  • Support coordination between detailing, fabrication, and field teams.
  • Participate in training to learn company and industry detailing standards.
  • Perform basic measuring and data collection tasks during site visits (with supervision).
  • Carry out other entry-level duties as assigned to support the Project Manager and subcontractors

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of drafting principles; construction knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SDS/2, or Tekla a plus, but not required — training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail, a positive “can-do” attitude, and an eagerness to learn.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Required Experience

  • 2-4 year college degree required
  • Coursework in drafting, engineering, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • No prior steel detailing experience required — we will train the right candidate.
