Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Systems Administrator to assist in managing and maintaining our IT systems and infrastructure. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with foundational knowledge of IT systems, who are eager to grow their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

• System Maintenance and Support:

  • Monitor and maintain server and network health to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

• User Support:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software problems.
  • Assist in setting up workstations, accounts, and access permissions.
  • Train users on basic IT operations and best practices.

• Network Administration:

  • Assist in monitoring and managing LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Support network security measures, including firewalls and anti-virus solutions.

• Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and processes.
  • Document solutions to recurring technical issues for knowledge sharing.

• IT Projects:

  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on infrastructure upgrades and deployments.
  • Participate in testing and implementation of new systems and technologies.

• Education and Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar IT support or systems administration role is a plus.

• Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, or macOS).
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is advantageous.
