Position: Sports Massage Therapist Location :* Manayunk, Philadelphia, Pa Employment Type:* Full-Time/Part-Time

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sport Massage Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical massage techniques and hands-on experience working with athletes or the performing arts community. Your expertise in therapeutic techniques, such as deep tissue massage, cupping, and sports-specific recovery, will play a vital role in supporting our clients' rehabilitation and performance goals. The ideal candidate will be expected to work on the gym floor alongside the physical therapists aiding in patients' recovery, while learning and gaining valuable knowledge. You should also anticipate growing your own calendar of private massages in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored massage therapy sessions with a focus on sports recovery, injury prevention, and performance enhancement.
  • Utilize advanced techniques, including deep tissue massage, cupping, and other therapeutic modalities, to address client-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Educate clients on self-care practices, stretching routines, and recovery techniques to enhance treatment outcomes.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry techniques and certifications.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably with athletes or performing artists.
  • Expertise in deep tissue massage, medical massage, and cupping therapy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passionate about helping clients achieve their health and performance goals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
