Job Description

The Housing Authority of Jackson County is hiring a live on-site Property Facilities Attendant to support the daily operations of Rogue River Estates, a multifamily affordable housing community.

Compensation & Benefits:
This live-on-site position includes a one-bedroom apartment with utilities paid and a bi-monthly wage of $1,387.
As a Benefit-Eligible employee, you'll also receive:
  • Comprehensive insurance coverage, including medical, dental, and vision, with HAJC covering 95% of the employee premium for all three plans.
  • Participation in the PERS retirement system, with HAJC contributing to your retirement and covering the full 6% required employee contribution.
  • Accrued paid time off, including vacation and sick leave, plus 11 paid holidays per year.
Don't let the great benefits distract you from the very real challenge of living where you work.

Yes, this role comes with housing, and yes, living onsite can offer convenience, but make no mistake: this is a demanding lifestyle choice, not just a job perk. When your home is also your workplace, the line between "on duty" and "off duty" can get blurry fast. Residents may see you as constantly available, and you'll need the maturity and professionalism to set and maintain clear boundaries without damaging relationships or disrupting the community dynamic.  If you're not already comfortable with navigating those dynamics, this role will be difficult.

What You'll Actually Be Doing:
  • Keeping the community clean, safe, and functional, inside and out. That means mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, clearing trash, snow removal, cleaning stairwells, scrubbing laundry rooms, and maintaining common areas in a clean and shiny condition.
  • Handling light maintenance and flagging issues early, reporting problems before they become expensive repairs.
  • Assisting with move-in and move-out inspections, documenting everything with attention to detail.
  • Responding to resident needs professionally, even when they're upset, confused, or demanding.
  • Walking the grounds daily to identify hazards, messes, or safety concerns.
  • Supporting emergency procedures and being ready to help secure the site, clear hazards, or coordinate with staff.
It's not glamorous, and it's not for everyone. But if you're a person who values stability, consistency, and the satisfaction of work done right, you'll find purpose here. Every day you'll make this place safer, cleaner, and better for the people who live here, and that matter s.

Ready to work and live with Purpose, Apply Today!
