Key Responsibilities and Skills:
Handles billing and prepares necessary documentation for the finance team.
Organizes, oversees, and assesses all city-hosted events, including First Friday and other Downtown activities.
Collaborates with Downtown business owners to share updates and coordinate participation in events.
Creates marketing strategies including content planning, community engagement, influencer outreach, and paid social media campaigns to highlight Downtown Brownsville and related city initiatives.
Plans and promotes events, obtains sponsorships, manages special event contracts, and ensures adherence to safety and risk guidelines.
Carries out additional related duties as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with at least one year of relevant experience, or
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of five years of experience.
Certifications and Licensing:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.
