Responsibilities

Mayo Clinic Health System is seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopedic Surgery team serving Red Wing and Cannon Falls, Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP eager to practice at the top of their license in both clinical and surgical settings.

Position Highlights:
•    Collaborative orthopedic practice assisting with a variety of surgical procedures
•    Manage an independent clinic including fracture care, injections, post-operative follow-up, and non-operative orthopedic conditions
•    Opportunity to perform ultrasound-guided injections and other in-office procedures
•    Involvement in patient and family education and shared decision-making
•    Participation in quality improvement, research, or educational initiatives is encouraged
•    EPIC EMR is utilized throughout the practice
•    Some call responsibilities are required. 
•    This position will be to assist with one of our surgeons who utilizes 2 APPs within their practice.

Team Environment:
•    Team currently includes three orthopedic surgeons, with a fourth surgeon joining in the fall, and a group of four APPs
•    Practice is predominantly elective, with a low volume of emergent trauma
•    Supportive, collaborative, multi-disciplinary team culture

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current MN RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, or ANP.

Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the MN State Board of Medical Practice.
