Title: Principal Level Environmental Engineer or Environmental Geologist
Location: Torrance, California
Prestigious and steadily growing Environmental Consulting firm that provides a full line of professional environmental engineering services actively Principal Level Environmental Engineer or Environmental Geologist to join our dynamic team in Torrance, California.
The ideal and successful Senior Level Environmental Engineer or Environmental Geologist will have 15-20 years of environmental consulting industry work experience. Qualified candidates must offer excellent communication skills, scientific integrity, creativity, dedication, and be detail oriented. We provide a self-directed, relaxed, and collaborative work environment. The individual hired for this position may also be considered for an equity stake in the company.
Principal Level Environmental Engineer or Environmental Geologist Qualifications:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geology/Hydrogeology
A California Professional Engineer, PE or Professional Geologist, PG license
Experience designing and implementing environmental investigations (chlorinated solvent project experience (Strongly Preferred)
Experience managing projects and personnel (Required)
Experience in office management (Required)
Strong writing skills (proposals, work plans, reports, communication with regulators/attorneys/clients)
Strong interpersonal skills, experience interacting with regulators (RWQCB and DTSC), attorneys, clients, subcontractors
Experience with litigation support and insurance funded projects a plus
Business development experience a plus
Principal Level Environmental Engineer or Environmental Geologist Key Responsibilities:
Managing the Torrance, CA office, including staff workload and office workflow, staff mentoring, and human resource responsibilities
Managing all aspects of projects
Technical review of work plans, reports, and other project correspondence
Design and implementation of remediation systems at commercial and industrial sites
Evaluating data to support the litigation needs of our clients.
