Position Summary: Our clients in Palm Beach are hiring a creative Private Chef to join their long-tenured team. This person will work with their current Private Chef who is nearing retirement. The right candidate will be excited to train with the current Chef and learn the palate and preferences of the principals. Generally, lunch and dinner, Saturday - Wednesday. Thursday and Friday off. Travel to Southampton in the summer months (June-Sep/Oct). Beautiful accommodation is provided on-site in a Guest Cottage. Responsibilities: Prepare lunch and dinner five days/week for the principals Daily grocery shopping; inventory, and procurement of the highest quality food, wine, and pantry items Creatively develop menu Clean up after meals, clean kitchen and dining area, label and store food Keep all floors, tables and countertops in kitchen, dining room, and pantry immaculate Prepare and serve meals for small dinner parties and gatherings (4-6 guests) With other team members manage inventory of china, serving dishes, flatware, crystal, silver, table linens, and bar/glassware Alongside the Estate Manager, arrange and oversee caterers/staff for occasional larger functions Prepare simple staff meals (lunch for small team and dinner for one) Qualifications: Experience in a similar position for a private family Culinary degree or training preferred Highly creative with outstanding culinary skills Honest, diligent, responsible, efficient, courteous, and discreet Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Hands-on approach to all tasks Positive, pleasant personality, team player Able to communicate effectively and readily with principals, Estate Manager and other staff Fluent English Possess a valid drivers license and legal to work in the USA Schedule: General work schedule is Saturday to Wednesday, lunch and dinner with the flexibility to occasionally work additional hours as requested Compensation: Compensation of $135,000 to $150,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience Lovely on-site housing provided in Southampton Generous benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays and an annual Discretionary Bonus.
