Part-Time Nanny Needed in Oak Park – Wonderful Family Seeking Calm, Consistent Caregiver
Location: Oak Park, IL
Schedule: Part-Time, 3.5–4 Days per Week | 28–32 Hours
Hours: Approximately 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Slightly Flexible)
Compensation: $22–$26/hour + Paid Time Off
Start Date: Flexible, ideally mid to late August

A warm and welcoming family in Oak Park is seeking a kind, calm, and reliable part-time nanny to care for their three children—twin kindergarteners and an infant who will be 1 year old soon. This is an amazing opportunity for a nurturing, proactive caregiver who enjoys partnering with parents and growing with a family over time. Position Details:

• Primary focus during the day will be on the almost 1-year-old, as twins will be in kindergarten (school is walking distance)
• Support for school drop-offs, pick-ups, and occasional activity transport (using family car)
• Engage infant in age-appropriate, enriching activities and developmental play
• Maintain infant’s daily routine, including a consistent nap schedule
• Provide gentle structure and flexibility as children's needs evolve
• Occasional evening or weekend babysitting is a bonus (not required)

Daily Responsibilities:

• Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities for infant
• Prepare lunches and snacks for children
• Light housekeeping related to the children (tidy up after meals, children’s laundry, organize play areas)
• Empty dishwasher and keep kitchen tidy
• Let dogs out into fenced yard occasionally as needed
• Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents
• Collaborate with work-from-home parents in a  team-oriented environment

• Consistent, reliable, and flexible in day-to-day routines
• Enjoys working with parents as a team
• Comfortable with two friendly dogs (no pet care required beyond letting them out)
• Creative with planning developmental activities
• Adaptable to the changing needs of growing children
• Strong communicator and proactive thinker

Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional nanny experience, ideally with infants and multiple children
• CPR & First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain)
• Safe driver with valid license (family car available for driving children)
• Must be fully vaccinated (Measles, Tdap, COVID [past], annual Flu)
