Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all Nocatee facilities, offsite locations, guests, and staff. This position involves securing and locking down facilities at the end of each night, conducting routine patrols during the day, responding to security concerns, and providing a visible presence during high-traffic events. Security Officers will also be the primary point of contact for any security-related incidents, proactively addressing issues to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Job Duties and Functions

• Facility Security & Lockdown: Secure all facilities at day's end, ensuring all access points are locked and conduct final walkthroughs to check for security risks or maintenance concerns.
• Offsite Patrols & Monitoring: Perform routine checks at offsite locations, addressing and reporting security or maintenance issues.
• Emergency Response & Incident Management: Respond promptly to calls and security concerns, acting as the first responder to de-escalate incidents and coordinating with law enforcement as needed.
• Event Security Presence: Oversee security during events, ensuring crowd control, safety, and monitoring for suspicious activity. Assist with parking and access control.
• Proactive Security Measures: Identify and mitigate security risks, maintain a visible presence to deter disruptions, and help enforce community safety policies.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Work with the Director of Operations and other departments to ensure security coordination and maintain detailed incident reports.

Requirements

Position Requirements

• Preferred experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
• Strong observational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict professionally.
• Knowledge of security procedures, de-escalation, and emergency protocols.
• Must work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
