Responsibilities:

• As a Systems Administrator on our team, I will:
• Ensure overall integration and upkeep of all wide area network and enterprise management services to include all servers, workstations, and access accounting functions inherent to network access on the DCGS architecture.
• Manage mission data distribution servers providing rapid file transfer across the WAN and to external customers.
• Manage enterprise IT services such as LDAP, NTP, DNS, and HBSS.
• Administer a host of unique systems and services specific to the AF DCGS weapon system.
• Provide network management of computer systems within the DOC-East and West.
• Integrate new projects into the DOC management architecture and the DPA.
• Install, configure, analyze, develop, test, modify, and maintain solutions for operating systems, hardware, and application software to meet enterprise management and DPA systems analysis and integration requirements according to established IT and government standards.
• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Maintain security and integrity of databases (e.g., Oracle).
• Perform user account, group, and home directory maintenance for Unix and Windows workstations and servers, coordinating with DCGS Network Security as required.
• Track and maintain all system authentication and accreditation dates for DOC systems.
• Provide input in support of the Monthly Status Report (MSR) detailing accomplishments and issues in the performance of tasks.

The salary for this position ranges from $93,500 to $126,500, and I understand that this is subject to experience and geographical location. Work hours are scheduled for 40 hours per week, with less than 10% travel required. The work location is based at Langley AFB in Virginia, and while telecommuting options are limited, I appreciate being part of a collaborative onsite team.
