Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client in a hybrid role based near Bensalem, PA. This permanent, direct-hire position will provide key support in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. The role is ideal for candidates with early to mid-level accounting experience, but applicants with more advanced skills will also be considered.
Compensation:
• $65,000 – $85,000/year, depending on experience
Work Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, normal business hours
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
• Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and variance reports
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and assist with accruals
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support audit preparation
• Assist with internal control initiatives and process improvements
Qualifications and Skills for the Staff Accountant:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Minimum of 2 years of corporate accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with general ledger processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, AS400, etc.) a plus
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Manufacturing or distribution industry experience is highly desirable
• CPA candidates or those with additional accounting expertise are encouraged to apply
