**Job Title: TIG Welder** **Job Description** Will be doing stick, mostly TIG, and some MIG welding on various ornamental metal, railing, stainless steel, and guardrails. Welders must be able to set up their own machine for each process. Must be able to pass a 3G and 4G weld test. All welders need to be able to read prints and fab drawings. Must be able to use power tools such as grinders, drills, chop saws, and skill saws. Must be able to fabricate. **Responsibilities** + Perform stick, TIG, and MIG welding on various ornamental metals including railing, stainless steel, and guardrails. + Set up welding machines for each process. + Pass a 3G and 4G weld test. + Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. + Use power tools such as grinders, drills, chop saws, and skill saws. + Fabricate materials as required. + Work on 1G to 6G welds on plates, tubes, and pipes. **Essential Skills** + Blueprint reading + TIG welding + Fabrication + Stainless steel & Aluminum TIG Welding + Stick welding + MIG welding + Use of various power tools + 2+ years of TIG welding experience + 2+ years of fabrication experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Architectural & ornamental metalwork + Experience with bronze, glass stair rails, guardrails, handrails, column enclosures, escalator and power-walkway cladding, elevator interiors, interior wall panels, beam and soffit cladding + Valid driver's license + Ability to lift 50+ pounds + Willingness to do fabrication and prep work as well as welding + Ability to use tape measures, pneumatic tools, power tools, hand tools, sanders, grinders, saws **Why Work Here?** This is a 90-day contract to hire position with opportunities for overtime. Employees may receive a salary increase when brought on permanently. The management team is supportive and invests time in training their staff. Additionally, there are monthly BBQs for team bonding and cross-training opportunities in other roles such as glazing. **Work Environment** The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, with a focus on designing and fabricating custom railings. The shop does not have air conditioning, and employees are required to wear steel-toed boots and long pants from day one. The work hours are from 5 AM to 3 PM with potential for 10-hour days and overtime. Employees must be willing and able to go into the field. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
