Job Description
· Designs intuitive, accessible, and effective user experiences across NSF digital platforms.
· Conducts user research, usability testing, and accessibility evaluations.
· Develops personas, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows.
· Evaluates existing content and interfaces to identify usability and accessibility improvements.
· Ensures UX designs align with Section 508/WCAG and the U.S. Web Design System.
· Collaborates with developers, designers, writers, and stakeholders to balance usability and feasibility.
· Documents findings and presents recommendations to project teams and leadership.
Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field; or
· Equivalent professional experience.
Experience / Qualifications
· Minimum 6 years of professional UX design experience.
· Demonstrated experience with user research, testing, and accessibility-focused design.
· Proven ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and task flows.
· Experience supporting public-sector or federal digital platforms preferred.
