The Staff Services Manager I serves as the Program Manager for the CalGang Unit and is responsible for the full range of oversight functions. The SSM I oversees advisory committees made up of internal and external stakeholders; facilitates all aspects of meetings, including adherence to the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act; develops written reports for publication on the Attorney General's Office website; and determines substantive changes to the current website. In addition, the incumbent collaborates with information technology (IT) staff, vendors, and users to support and maintain the CalGang database. This position develops and makes recommendations to the Bureau and Division regarding proposed policy and procedure changes related to all aspects of the CalGang program and database, and presents written and verbal information in front of community and governmental stakeholders and law enforcement entities.

Working Conditions

This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies.

This position is eligible for telework, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
