Clerical and Administrative Assistant, Federal Defense What We Are Looking For: We are seeking Clerical and Administrative Assistants to support senior leadership and headquarters-level operations at the Department of the Air Force and Space Force. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, have exceptional organizational and communication skills, and are comfortable working with executive-level clients and sensitive systems.
Requirements: - U.S. Citizenship (Required)
- Active SECRET Clearance (Required)
- At Least an Associate’s Degree or 3+ years of administrative experience supporting DoD or federal government (Required)
- Must reside in the greater Washington D.C. area (Virginia, the District, or Maryland)
- Must be able to work onsite at the Pentagon or other National Capital Region locations, if needed
Skills: - Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to senior officials and headquarters staff
- Prepare and review correspondence, memoranda, reports, and presentations for format, grammar, and accuracy
- Coordinate meetings and events, manage calendars, draft meeting minutes, and ensure logistics are in place
- Manage communications, field telephone calls, greet visitors, and facilitate internal coordination
- Maintain and organize files, records, and task trackers in compliance with government guidance
- Support office operations, including travel coordination using the Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Use and manage government tasking systems such as ETMS2 (Task Management Tool)
- Monitor suspense dates and ensure timely submission of deliverables
- Operate video conferencing platforms (e.g., Teams, WebEx, Zoom) to support virtual engagements
Preferred: - Experience supporting executive-level DoD/Federal leadership (Senior Executives or General Officers)
- Familiarity with Pentagon protocols, DTS, and ETMS2
- Experience with military customs and courtesies, and working in secure government environments
