Who we're looking for:

Starry is seeking a per-diem Field Canvasser whose primary responsibility will be hanging posters and distributing marketing materials about Starry's services directly to residents' doors. The efforts of our Field Canvassers will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility of Starry's services and expanding Starry's customer base. Canvassers are needed at various times, including weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends, with flexible schedules that can accommodate class commitments or other obligations. This position reports to the Field Marketing Manager. This position does not qualify as a Co-op or internship.

What you’ll do:

• Hang posters and distribute marketing materials directly to residents' doors
• Engage with community members in a friendly and professional manner
• Represent the Starry brand positively and effectively
• Provide information about Starry’s services and answer any questions residents may have
• Track and report on distribution progress and community feedback
• Maintain a high level of knowledge about Starry’s services and promotions
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively to potential customers, business stakeholders and team
• This position requires a form of reliable transportation to get to and from different work locations. If you plan to drive your personal vehicle on behalf of Starry, you'll need to have a valid driver's license in the state of your residence and a safe driving record.

Bonus Points:

• Previous experience in field marketing, canvassing, or a related role
• Enthusiasm for new technology and the internet space

Pay: $20.00 hourly with an opportunity for commission. Final hourly pay rate will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and training.
