Golf Shop Attendant
Golf course in Berlin, Connecticut is looking for a Golf Shop Attendant.
Position Overview:
The position of Golf Shop Attendant is the front line and first impression of our golf operation.
Duties:
• Personable, approachable, and socially engaging.
o Practice and promote name recognition.
o Posses’ excellent communication skills and be willing to work hard.
• Answer phones with the greeting to answer questions or to schedule future tee times.
o Accurately record time and date of reservation in the online reservation system.
o Promote the speed of making tee time online.
o Keep tee sheet updated and make sure starter and outside staff are informed.
o Communicate up-to-date information accurately and effectively using radio communication to Starter, Cart Staff, DOG, or Ranger.
o Advise customers of any abnormal golf course conditions.
• Accurately open, operate, and close the point-of-sale system.
o Ability to balance cash register.
o Collect payment for green fee, range fee, cart fee, or season pass purchases.
o Payment can be with credit card or cash.
o Handle and count cash to make accurate change.
o Record credit card receipts.
o Record rain check usage.
• Inform Cart Staff when driving range balls are needed.
• Inform Ranger when a playing group is falling behind our pace of play standards.
• Assist in the daily cleaning of the Golf Shop.
• Keep work area neat, orderly, and professional looking.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
Previous experience with golf shop counter would be a plus.
Compensation:
$16.00 – $17.00 per year.
